FinditLower helps you find the lowest price on a product, online or nearby. This page explains, in plain terms, exactly what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Overview
FinditLower is developed by an independent developer operating as "FinditLower" (contact: contact@finditlower.app). This policy covers the FinditLower mobile app on iOS and Android.
We built FinditLower to do one job well — compare prices — and this policy tries to be just as narrow. If a section doesn't apply to a feature you use, we've said so rather than padding it out.
Information we collect

We do not collect payment card details. Subscription payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
How we use it
- Run the search you asked for and return matching prices and store locations.
- Show your past searches so you can quickly repeat them.
- Identify your account and apply your subscription tier.
- Enforce the free-tier monthly search limit.
- Send price-drop alerts you've asked to be notified about.
- Serve ads to free-tier users, and measure how those ads perform.
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
We do not use your search history or location to build an advertising profile of you ourselves — ad targeting, where it happens, is performed by Google AdMob under its own policy, linked below.
Third-party services
FinditLower is built on a small number of specialized services. Each only receives the minimum it needs to do its job:

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy: Google, Apple, Supabase, SerpApi, RevenueCat.
Retention
- Recent searches live only on your device and stay until you clear them or uninstall the app.
- Location is used to serve a single search and is not retained by us afterward.
- Price alerts are kept until they trigger, until you delete them, or until your account is deleted.
- Account data is kept while your account is active, and deleted on request (see below).
Your choices
- Location: grant or revoke it anytime in your device's system settings. Without it, online price comparison still works — only nearby-store results are affected.
- Camera: grant or revoke it anytime in your device's system settings. Without it, both barcode scanning and Search by Photo are unavailable — you can still search by typing.
- Notifications: grant or revoke price-alert push permission anytime in your device's system settings.
- Recent searches: stored locally; uninstalling the app removes them.
- Account deletion: in the app, go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and associated data immediately. If you no longer have the app installed, email contact@finditlower.app with the email address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days — see finditlower.app/delete-account for details.
- Ad personalization: controlled by your device's ad-tracking settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Ads).
Children's privacy
FinditLower is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
Account credentials and sign-in tokens are handled by Supabase's authentication infrastructure, not stored by us directly. Traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we hold to a minimum for exactly this reason.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
